Testing Laboratory Directorate (TLD) is accredited to perform the testing of moisture content and the determination of the purity of xanthogenate, which is used in the ore-processing industry.
Validated intralaboratory methods are used for the determination of the purity of the xanthate: Hirchkind method, lead-acetate method and the iodometric method.
The water content (moisture) is determined using the departmental titrimetric method with an automated titrator (volume titration by Karl Fisher.)
