BIOMASS, PELLETS AND BRIQUETTES, BIOFUELS, CHARCOAL

The Testing Laboratory Directorate (TLD) is accredited to perform analysis on various characteristics of samples of biomass, pellets and briquettes, biofuels and charcoal.
TLD performs testing on all characteristics – mandatory and recommended, in accordance with the requirements of the current normative documents.
Testing of the main characteristics (moisture, ash, volatile substances) of the products is performed using classical weight methods.
The determination of calorific value consist of combustion in a calorimetric bomb.
The determination of the content of main elements and also elements, present as traces, is performed using ICP-OES, after a microwave oven digestion.
The mercury content in the solution is determined using AAS by the cold mercury vapor method.
The determination of sulfur, chlorine and bromine content is performed using an ion chromatograph (IC), after pre-combusting a proper portion of the sample in an oxygen atmosphere in a calorimetric bomb.
TLD issues a “Statement of Compliance” of products, in accordance with the requirements of the acting normative documents.

SOLID RECOVERED FUELS

The Testing Laboratory Directorate (TLD) at “Eurotest-Control” EAD is accredited to perform testing of various characteristics of solid recovered fuels (SRF) – processed or pelletized waste from tires, paper, trees, plastic and dried sludge.
TLD performs testing on all characteristics – mandatory and recommended, in accordance with the requirements of  BDS EN 15359 “Solid Recovered Fuels. Specification and classification”.
Testing of main characteristics (moisture, ash, volatile substances) of the products is performed using classical weight methods.

SOLID FUELS
(coal, charred coal and briquettes)

The Testing Laboratory Directorate (TLD) at “Eurotest-Control” EAD is accredited to perform testing of various characteristics of solid fuels samples (coal, charred coal and briquettes).
Testing the main characteristics (moisture, ash, volatile substances) of the products is performed using classical weight methods.
The determination of sulfur and carbon is performed using high-temperature combustion in an oxygen environment with infrared absorption.
The determination of the calorific value consists of combustion in a calorimetric bomb.
The chlorine content is determined by combusting an Eschka mixture in an oxidizing atmosphere and a subsequent titration under the Mohr method.
The content of the different oxides in the composition of ash is determined calorimetrically, using weight or spectrophotometrically in accordance with СТ СИВ 5776.

If the client requires it, the test reports can also be issued both in Bulgarian and in English.
